This is a plein air painting of a lovely private home's backyard garden in Stanford Park, California.
The light kept changing while I painted as the iron cranes looked on.
About Dee Davis
I began drawing pictures at age three when my dad, an art teacher, put a pencil in my hand, gave me some paper and a few basic lessons in drawing. Since then I've been fascinated with the artistic side of life, studying, viewing and participating. Over the years my work has ranged from small engravings to 4' x 8' paintings. I've worked in colored pencil, acrylic, watercolor and oil doing landscapes, portraits, abstracts and whimsy. I love creating this imaginary world as well as painting abstracts and a variety of more realistic subjects. I donate 20% of my profits of Imaginary Cat sales at FAA to the Humane Society and the ASPCA.
